SEWP Overview
NASA SEWP VI
The NASA SEWP (Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement), pronounced "soup", provides the latest Information Technology, Communication, and Audio-Visual (ITC/AV) solutions and services for all Federal Agencies and their approved contractors. Created in 1993, SEWP I was the first Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) in the federal acquisition space. Originally, the contract vehicle provided only technology products for NASA and all other agencies. SEWP has continually evolved over the past 30 years, expanding its scope to meet the requests of its customers. The SEWP vehicle represents acquisition innovation within the Federal Government. The program is self-funded through usage fees (0.34%) and provides all Federal agencies with acquisition support - more than 50,000 orders a year.
Fair Opportunity
FAR 16.505(b) (1) provides that each contractor shall be given fair opportunity to be considered for each order exceeding $10,000 and issued under multiple award contracts. The FAR states that the method to obtain fair opportunity is at the discretion of the Contracting Officer (CO) and that the CO must document the rationale for placement and price of each order. Using the SEWP online Quote Request Tool is the recommended method to assist in this activity and to augment the required decision documentation. The SEWP Quote Request Tool (QRT) will automatically include the Contract Holders within a selected Category or based on a suggested source.

Requests for Quote & Placing an Order
Request a Quote
Federal agencies may request quotations for hardware, software, or services through the NASA SEWP Quote Request Tool (QRT), following applicable SEWP procedures. For quotation assistance, contact Riddhi Choksi or Pragnay Choksi using the contact information on page 1.
Requests should include a description of the requirement, scope of work, period of performance, and any applicable technical or security requirements. Proksi will provide a quote with pricing, contract line items (CLINs), and proposed terms.
Placing an Order
Each federal agency follows its own procurement procedures for issuing orders under NASA SEWP VI. The typical ordering process is as follows:
1. Identify Requirements: The agency identifies its needs and obtains a quote from Proksi.
2. Prepare the Order: The agency's procurement office prepares and issues a Delivery Order (DO) using its authorized ordering procedures.
3. Submit to NASA SEWP: The order is submitted to the SEWP Program Management Office (PMO) at sewporders@sewp.nasa.gov.
4. Order Processing: The SEWP PMO reviews and processes the order, assigns a SEWP Control Number (SCN), and forwards it to Proksi.
5. Begin Performance: Proksi begins fulfilling the order after the SCN is assigned and the order is authorized.
The issuing agency is responsible for its procurement decisions and applicable ordering requirements. Any order modification must also be submitted through SEWP PMO.

Proksi Systems is an SBA-certified 8(a) participant. Eligible 8(a) direct awards may be placed through NASA SEWP VI, subject to applicable SBA and SEWP requirements. Please refer to our SEWP VI Ordering Guide for additional guidance.
